Was just going to ask what that was from, is it on Netflix?

Hulu, it's a great show that kind of makes fun of super hero tropes since the main character is literally so powerful he can defeat anything in one punch.

One punch man is such a breath of fresh air because it deconstructs and hilariously subverts more shitty anime tropes than I could possibly name.

In any other anime, Genos the fantastically animated adolescent power fantasy character would be the tryhard protagonist. Which is basically why he's there. He's the radiXcool 'No Holding Back' hero you wanted to be when you were a teenager, who would in any other shonen fighting anime be barely surviving huger and huger epic battles that he rallies to barely win at the very end.

Except in One Punch Man that doesn't happen. Instead he is instead the constantly baffled deuteragonist who gets the shit kicked out of him and scrubs One Punch Man's toilet for him and it's all great it's all so great

I also like how they completely 100% adopted that how well-drawn a character is remains directly proportional to how seriously they're taking the situation at any given moment.

I kinda like that even though Genos is basically constantly dunked in the barrel because he's such an insane tryhard he's not really portrayed as a retarded dupe- he goes from admiring Saitama being basically invincible to admiring him because hey he's a pretty decent dude in general.

I guess I like it because it mocks and tears down cliches without really being too cynical about it.

I just love Saitama's one big anxiety cause is trying to come up with lessons to teach Genos because he explained the training regime he used to become the most powerful guy ever and no-one believed him, so now he's always having to make up some new target or goal to train him with.

I have almost no idea what half this paragraph means, but it was enough for me to take a look. Just finished the first episode. It's freakin' awesome. I think I get some of the tropes that make it so. Love it.

I've never seen the re-drawn manga pages....it's looks so weird to me now compared to what was essentially a kid's napkin art originally.

Yeah, keeping up  with all 3 versions (original, re-draw and anime) sometimes gets a bit wierd, as I constantly have to double check muyself to figure out where I am at in the story.  All three are awesome however, each for their own reasons.  Most recent anime episode was great, in the way it pokes fun at some of the stuff people were talking about in the X-men movie thread about underused abilities:
-  Badguy: "I am an ultra powerful telekenetic, face my ultimate attack!"
-  Saitama: "WTF man, all you are doing is throwing rocks around.  Anybody can do that".
Flick.

I just want to know the story behind the picture.  Like.. what is that guy doing laying in the middle of the street just casually reaching for his beer?

Yes, awesome fits!

Might be dumb question, but how did they manage to create that image? Using the size of the ship to judge scale the camera must be quite far away from the iceberg. That looks like awfully clear water / bright lightning.
