If you pull 1G in an airplane, physically you don't know if you are upside down or not (neither does the liquid).

Possibly the coolest costume I've seen posted this year:

Probably get a lot of "and what are you supposed to be?" type questions.

At first I thought that person had a giant fucking tv and then I realized it must be a child in the costume and that my perspective was off.

I had a Creeper and Altair show up at my house last night and they both got a TON of candy.

I had an Altair show up, though his costume was just clean enough I called him Ezio. Took him a sec to figure out why this old fart lazy ass handing out candy by the chimnea and smoke machine on the driveway was asking him about a video game  awesome, for real

I'm a huge BBQ and smoking guy.  There's a guy on my forum for my 'cult' cooker that does amazing pumpkin carvings every year and also chooses awesome, off-the-wall themes.  Little bit late but here's his Halloween 2012 offering, took him a bit longer being in Mass with the slight downpour and all.   awesome, for real

Um, hanging a random mess of electricity connections on a metal fence and inviting everyone to use it.

After a major storm knocked out power in a large part of the NE USA; it's actually pretty cool of them to do that for their neighbors.

Why does this fascinate me so much?  There's just something about the bread rising process that's so cool, IMO.

Oh, and I think Tale's comment was meant to point out that electricity and bit metal objects usually don't play nice together.  Although, I think hanging power strips over a fence should be fairly safe.

Um, hanging a random mess of electricity connections on a metal fence and inviting everyone to use it.

That's actually a plus, as if something shorted it would go to ground through the metal posts and not any dude who touched the shorting power strip.  A more efficient conductor than mild steel would actually be safer.  It's also sort of irrelevant, because the most likely hazard in that scenario is the resistance of several power strips daisy-chained together causing a fire, and the fence is non-combustible.

I came here to report this, even though it is very evidently old.  This is awesome.

This page is currently broken.  Whoever liked the fohguild.org pic, remove it.  Google's flipping out over apparent malware from the site.

Wow. That's just amazing.

A pod of dolphins surfing is a pretty common sight off the beach near my parents' house: http://goo.gl/maps/EqjtV

There was also a time when the water was totally calm and I was swimming with friends, when a pod of dolphins including babies arrived to check us out. They stayed well out of reach, but it was very cool. Another time I was sitting on the beach with a girl I was dating, saying "I wish you could see the dolphins" and literally a few seconds later a pod of 30-40 dolphins surfaced just beyond the waves. Thanks, dolphins.
