Metal sculpture by metalsmith Elizabeth Goluch.  She have a bunch of them.  I think they're kind of cool.

That is cool. It actually brings up cool childhood memories - my aunt (less than ten years older than me) used to scare the crap out of us with horror stories about what those little buggers would do to you. Good times.

I am almost sure they are pulling it. No sense risking a little too much gas and slipping those muddy wheels on a round wood surface.

These are 3D Pencil Drawings by Nagai Hideyuki.  I think they're very clever.

I read somewhere that movie caused a huge change in Hollywood. It was the end of director's being given limitless control over their films. I prefer it to Wages of Fear (the original). It has a tension that films rarely capture.

You're thinking of Heaven's Gate. Which I've seen and is truly dreadful.

I think I want to live in this:

The majority of my family on the Scandie side were born with the recluse gene and I inherited it +1.  I can't think of a more awesome place to be all alone even though the steps look rather daunting.  Even though I'd be tempted to live on candy corn, taffy apples and White Zombie Ale, I bet I'd still lose weight just getting the post!  I love spooky houses.

Oops, I should have said, shouldn't I?  Here's a little blurb on it:

Quote
The Haunted Hotel at Tequendama Falls
Tequendama Falls (or Salto del Tequendama) is a major tourist attraction about 30 km southwest of Bogotá, the capital city of Colombia. The thousands of tourists who visit the area to admire the 157 metre (515 feet) tall waterfall and the surrounding nature, make a stop at another nearby landmark as well, the abandoned Hotel del Salto.

The luxurious Hotel del Salto opened in 1928 to welcome wealthy travelers visiting the Tequendama Falls area. Situated just opposite to the waterfall and on the edge of the cliff, it provided a breathtaking view to its guests. During the next decades though, Bogotá river was contaminated and tourists gradually lost their interest to the area. The hotel finally closed down in the early 90's and was left abandoned ever since. The fact that many people in the past chose that spot to commit suicide, made others believe that the hotel is haunted.

If you look at other pics of it, there is a road right next to the back of the house so people might come knocking now and then.  I wouldn't mind that.  I wouldn't answer the door but I would peek out from behind the curtains and stare at them and disappear when they looked away.  Just for spooky house consistency.

Very cool, it's apparently part of their children's resort area.

As much as I want to sleep in there, I don't think I'd get much rest.  My giggling would keep me awake.  It just looks like too much fun.  You'd have to bring hot chocolate and snicker-doodles.  And pot.  And maybe chutes and ladders or that cootie game.

Fine.  The human marriage didn't work out, anyway.  A martian one night stand might be just what I need!  No probing, though.

Pretty sure probing is implicit as regards to one night stands.  Even with martians.
