Found the story and its as cute as the pictures. The leopard was donated as an orphaned kitten by a local vet to a guy who runs a local lodge in Pretoria, South Africa. The owner already had the dog who at the time chased the kitten around. Now the leopard weighs in at 40 lbs and according to the owner the two are inseparable.

Some quality proof reading in that article. Says the leopard weighs 40 lbs and the fully grown golden retriever 18 lbs   swamp poop. Considering grown leopards are 65 - 135 lbs, I think we have an error in units.

Really cute pictures though.

And they will still be inseparable the day that the leopard gets annoyed, disembowels the retriever and eats it.

I have a hard time believing that dog is only 18 pounds.  Maybe it was 18 pounds when they got the leopard, but I've had a cat that weighed that much and he was muscular but not the size of even a small golden.

Bart is 20.5lbs. It's a typo or bad fact checking.

That line was badly written.  Sounds like they're both around 40 pounds now.

That's awesome. The dopey look on the dogs face in the last panel is priceless.

It's a Golden.  I imagine the dopey look is a quantifiable breed characteristic during competition.

Just going off the clues in the picture, I'd say it was a demonstration by Chinese heavy equipment maker trying to show that their equipment was as tough as that made by Caterpillar.  Chinese equipment has about the same reputation as their scooters, and the only other major supplier is Komatsu (Japanese, and not generally considered acceptable by mainland asian buyers).

I'm impressed, too.  I've seen scoop and backhoe operators pull some cool tricks (like getting themselves down from a flatbed without a ramp), but that's awesome.

I don't understand how it didn't tilt backwards on each "step", it's like it defied physics, if it wasn't a video I would assume it was a photoshop.  It must attach somehow in the center between the tracks too.  I guess that front plate must have some sort of crazy powerful electromagnet?

At any rate that's pretty wild, I also like the crazy announcer standing underneath it.

There was a hook on the front chasis, you see it attaching towards the end of the 2nd step.   As for the front plate, I thought he was just wedging it into place and then using the leverage to lift the whole machine.

It's hard to see, but there is a 'hook' above where the tracks slot in.  I was going "that third frame is impossible" in the picture until I was able to make it out.

The tower is specifically designed to let it climb, it's not just a random structure they built.

The hold on the front plate is done in that exact way. There is a little slot on the top and the operator wedges it in there then uses the hydrolic piston to wedge it in. The hold is the same type of hold that climbers get when they wedge themselves between two adjoining rock faces.

On a similar note, here are a bunch of digital photographs of Endeavor and the ISS. Taken from Earth with a lot of skill, timing, and spectacular equipment. For some explanation on how they were made, go here, which is where I found them.

After seeing his first moose in the wild, a friend of mine has ever after referred to them as "tactical assault horses."

Aparently this was on display at a licensing expo in Vegas recently.

Couple little details make it even more awesome, such as the fact that Hawkeye is going to rip his arm in half if he releases that arrow that way, and that Hulk apparently ran out of purple pants.

The little bit of "cloak" between Cap's arm and Thor's leg looks different from the rest of the red cloak fabric.  Smoother fabric and more maroon in color.  Actually, it almost looks like the torn up pants/shorts that Hulk wears, except those must be riding way low on his hips judging by how much green skin is showing there.
