This is getting printed and put in everyone's mailbox in my office...anonymously. Thanks, all I needed was the right leaflet propaganda.

I'd have to balance a sanctioned siesta vs staying at work another hour.

That's the magic of it though, you would be more productive and wouldn't need that extra hour  awesome, for real

His boss might disagree.  I don't see corporate America adopting this any time soon, no matter how much they prove it to be a benefit.

Funnily enough, however, it is VERY common for people in the government to wolf down their lunch and then go to their car and nap for 40 minutes during their lunch break.

The back to the future 2/robocop comparison is awesome.

I also spent 5 mins trying to find Star Wars on there.

I would wager that if they did that chart again 2 years from now, there'd be 5 movies in there with the date 2012. Stupid fads. Also, props for them remembering Children of Men. Depressed at the lack of Brazil, but does that have a date in the movie? Not so sure.

Nope. And nothing really would lead you to believe its "here" as well.

Yeah, I never thought of Brazil as in a different time, rather a different string in the timeline.

Would be interesting to see the list re-ordered by date of release too; to get a feel for how far into the then future people saw things changing.

EDIT: Oh man, I'm sorry guys. That's not even the full thing, the entire thing itself loops as well. I will see if I can find the full one my friend had shown me last night.

That is awsome. Its like a scrolling Heironimous Bosch for the 20/21st century.

I should get back to nature, too.  You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer.  Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached.  Buy a car with only two cup holders or something. -Signe

What on earth?  I'm assuming (dangerous, I know) that that's an eruption of some sort, but where?  The cloud formations are pretty incredible as well.

Ferrofluid.  Don't let Skynet see it.

Aerogel.  Almost as cool as ferrofluid, but not as visually interesting.

Both very neat.
