Studio Ghibli is pretty much the most famous animation house in the world. We're talking "would be bigger than Disney at this point if Disney didn't distribute their shit" big.
What Schild says.  Princess Mononoke (I believe it was this one; been awhile) was the top selling moving in the world until Titanic barely unseated it.  They've also been fodder for many a desktop.

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!

I bought a plushie Totoro headrest for my Honda CRV in Vancouver. And a dustball cell phone cozy. And a tin wind-up Totoro with Chibi following him. I can't find pictures of any of them, though!  ACK!

Oh wait, I found a pic of the tin.

Maybe I'm retarded. Explain?

Or is it supposed to be Sarah Palin? If so, the resemblance sucks.

Don't you know?  Any woman with brownish hair, glasses, and bangs which part to the side is Sarah Palin.

Or something.  I don't really get it either.

I think it was supposed to be Palin, but i thought it was an awesome representation of an old label for "the soccer mom". Sorry, i had seen it as more of an art piece then where i got it.

Ah, yeah, very nearly got one of those while I was living in Japan.  Then I realized I was broke and there was about 1000 more important things to spend $50 on.

I have a smaller scale one on my desk:

I have a bunch of the Revel models, including the Tomahawk, stashed.  Plus two of the Mospeada Alphas, the Shadow Alpha, and the Scott Bernard Cyclone toys.  I loved it as a kid, even if I would grow to hate Macek later.

Ehh... no reason to hate Macek.  It was a different time.  If it wasn't for Robotech anime would be in a totally different place right now.  I still love Robotech in spite of its warts.  Now Harmony Gold has done some not cool things, but even their douchebaggery can be traced to Tatsunoko productions.

And the new Miracle House Cyclones are rad:

http://www.hlj.com/product/MEG80910
I've already got Rand, and if I can still get Scott Bernard sometime soon I might provided this company makes a Rook.
(A couple companies are making various priced and sized Cylones.  This series is IMHO the best overall for price and performance, especially if you want most of the cast.)

And speaking of other shows mooshed together from the 80s, I got this bad boy.  I used to watch Macron 1 in my waning days of toys playing with while eagerly awaiting the NES I was to get in Christmas 86:

Oooh, Lancer. Heart

Damn you!  That is tempting.

Edited: Rook is on the way!

I hate Macek for Warriors of the Wind and abominations of its ilk, not Robotech.  I have very fond memories of Robotech, and really they dd a good job of it considering.  Getting mature content in a cartoon made all others pale in comparison afterwards.

Since we're on space-related subjects today:
