I think they need to get their eyes checked, though. They're obviously all crooked.

That's not crooked, that's independent targeting.

Bethesda needs to make a DLC for this monster to make up for its shitty PC port. Flying RIDABLE Polar Bears vs Dragons.

I would really like to learn more about the 'dark ages', it's a really fascinating time. Kinda sucks that religion laid a big hammer down on a lot of progress, but that's the story of history I guess. To bring it back to awesome pictures, here's some of the Staffordshire Hoard of awesome Saxon gold and ruby work. Saw a cool special on it recently.

On my first trip through college, I studied anthropology at Ohio State.  My focus was centered around the migration of peoples from Mainland Europe, to the Islands, Iceland, Greenland and finally the Americas.  It was a fairly uphill battle, as virtually everything OSU taught was regarding First Nations of North America.  Most of the migratory research was taught from the Beringia theories, so anything I wanted to learn on my area was on my time.  I stopped study when we had the baby and lost track of it somewhere in there.

I hadn't seen this collection before, thanks for sharing.  That is a purely amazing find.  Definitely an awesome picture.

Check out the National Geographic channel special, it was really interesting. They track the sources of the gold and rubies, stuff like that. Also the cover story of the Nov 11 issue of the magazine.

I don't think they actually use chalk for the large ones. Watching a few of the videos, they actually use some kind of paint. Chalk would disappear fast given the foot traffic.

Awesome, K9, but also heartbreaking.   Heartbreak

We've made so many strides in prosthetics.  I can only hope this continues.

I know, but I like the fact that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I'm still hopeful that my generation will be the generation that sees an end to dismemberment as a disability.

Nah, looking at the momentum and force he has going towards the hat, I can't imaging him having that much force going the other way starting from a back flip.

The ease of doing it either way is down to 'is the hat too big for him, or too small'.

It's also you don't have to nail one spot to pick it up, you don't have to worry about momentum flinging it forward off your head.
