So I watched this the other night, had not seen it since it came out.

Man what a fucking great movie. It had some really clever parts. Like when Roger is flipping through the pictures of his wife playing pattycake and he does it faster and faster until it becomes animated. It also had some great dialogue, chief among them:

"I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way."

"Oh Roger, I love you more than a woman has ever loved a rabbit!"

(Before Eddie watches Jessica perform) "So you guys have a thing for rabbits huh?"

(As Jessica is performing)
Eddie: "*That's* Jessica Rabbit?!?"
Betty Boop: "Yeah...lucky gal!"

Definitely a movie that it pays to rewatch as an adult. I'm sure as a kid I didn't get any of the freeway stuff at all. "Why would I own a car, LA has the best public transportation system in the world!"

Well, in that movie LA did have a public transportation system at the start.  The movie was a reference to GM and what they did to destroy public transit in the US.

Great movie all around, it is amazing how some Disney (and then Pixar) movies can be targeted at everyone from children to adults and still hit the mark with the audience.

It was my favourite movie as a child. I think I eventually wore through the tape.

I should buy it on DVD.

No movie frightened me more as a child.  When the guy got ran over by the steamroller, I screamed and screamed in front of everyone in the theater.  My mom was mortified...

Doesn't seem to be a bluray available yet, gonna have to keep my eyes open for that :)

I loved the movie as a kid.  Still holds up really well.  I will say that the big unveil of the villain at the end gave me nightmares growing up though.
