373 Experience points.

Injury Suddenly everything goes black and when you wake up you can't remember anything. You lose 263 health points.

That's eight hours of my best XP job shame we lost though :(

According to the battle stats it was 128 attackers and 100 defenders; Bat Country had a pretty good showing.

The key I guess is power at a point, since the attackers had almost all their people at low HP by the end, but they had more alive. So focused damage is more effective than overall damage.

I got 336 XP

Do the attackers receive the defensive bonus's from structures?

Yes they do. Quick analysis of that fight - we had a lot of people who were passive that were on the walls. The ones on the zerg (left) side went down fast because they didn't jump off the wall. Those that jumped off the left wall/towers in round 1 got one free shot and survived. The bulk of the active group of FoM players moved around the walls of the fort in a clockwise direction. By doing this they eliminated all the passive defenders on the walls with very low numbers of casualties on their side. The active defenders numbers were thinned out by the zerg of passive attackers who set up their characters to move onto the wall at the start.

That's a solid attack strategy. There is a counter - all passive defenders are placed in the buildings and on the blind side of the buildings from the fort wall. All active defenders go to the wall. The ones on the zerg side jump off and wait for the zerg to take the wall so that the zerg is in line of both active and passive defenders' guns at once.when a group of active players moves around the wall, those on the wall only need to jump off and force that active assault group to take the wall and be in line of more guns than they can fit on the wall.

Thats why i was asking, because it makes the "hiding inside and sniping the wall" far less effective. Which would still be the most effective defense when outnumbered. They should not receive defensive bonus's. It makes a situation where a better developed fort has a negative impact on the defenders.

If you are afk you should always position yourself inside the fort as a kind of sentry, but not on the flag square this gimps your stats.

Actually just stumbled on a discussion on the the beta forums which mirrors our beliefs to be true (starting everyone inside is pretty much guaranteed win).

http://forum.westbeta.innogames.de/showthread.php?t=392

The interesting bit of it is where the dev says this,

Quote from: zet/dev/zet
We are are aware of these problems. We have several ideas how to counter this. One of it will be specializations of characters. Here is what is on the whiteboard:

- soldier: can attract enemy fire, thus is able to tank and protect others (a very brave skill, isn't it?)
- duellers: Can do precise shots, picking a target and shooting at it directly.
- workers: Can destroy buildings (set height to 0) - thus can destroy walls to shoot into the fort (this would counter the strategy of defenders to stay in the fort
- adventurers: higher initiative - they move and shoot at first

Also we are going to have individual battle maps where building levels reflect the real levels of that particular fort. This could also change the way the fort battles are played.

Also I just read that the stone (no fort gun equipped) does 50-110 damage.

Next fort battle is winding up.  LN Fort on the far east coast.  I'm guessing FoM attacking.  Few hours walk, but the xp seems good.

There's a vote on the beta forums

Basically they are thinking of charging people for full skill remaps. I haven't decided yet sounds like a bad idea though.

If it wasn't exorbitant, that might be the one thing that they could get me to buy some nuggets for.

Why are people so interested in creating alts in this game? It's beyond me. It's not like the gameplay changes AT ALL.

I'm testing out melee dueler on W9 so I can see how they work and I have a 100% builder on the beta not really spending much time with them though.

All the forum mods are making a town together in world 10. I think we should declare war on them for the lulz.

I see you guys are attacking the Eagles tomorrow interesting. Any plan?

Colonel Braddock     Today at 12:29 AM
some douche from Real Fake Rock Ridge started the battle without asking anyone. i told the eagles that we'd help them defend since it was a mistake and i don't want another fort. should be an easy win for the defenders

ACK!

Some level 9 noob in their 3 member sister town initiated it
