That is gorgeous!

For more of that, go to this youtube video, scroll down, click the More to expand the playlist, and click on the 25:17 Human Legacy song.  Then put it on full screen 1080p.

You should come to Utah to see it. I don't get down there as much as I should (am going to Arches this summer though) but there is some amazing stuff in the national parks here.

Utah is among the most beautiful places in the country.  I've been all over that state and some of it is awe inspiring.

I still don't see Calvin or CR giving a fuck about something like Pokémon.  (Oh God, it automatically corrects my Pokémon spelling.  And AGAIN.  Cool.)

Christopher Robin - "I choose you Eeeore!"

Calvin - "I choose you Tyrannosaurus in an F-15!"

 why so serious?

Looks like dodgeball to me? Not that that's much more likely for either character.

Capturing and taming wild animals that you then use to to fight other wild animals? Calvin would 100% be in to that (just not the video or card game.. too many rules.)

Christopher Robin would from the standpoint that all his friends were animals anyway.

That weld has too much undercutting and the end where the passes meet is a bit sloppy :-p

It's a TIG weld. Found the source picture from here. And now that you know what a TIG-weld looks like they are very easy to spot on things like bicycle frames. In the old days bike frames were put together with lugs and solder on steel frames. Now it's almost all TIG welded.

MIG welds look like that as well. As do most electric arc welds.

This is a 10 inch adjustable wrench, or crescent wrench. Handy to have around, been in use for a long time, and just plain awesome.

This is stick.  Useful since dawn of man.  Used to hit people, usually.

I think its apart of the devolving 'awesome' picture theme of the last few posts.

You guys are duchebags though, the welding picture was actually pretty cool, and I know nothing about welding!

I honestly asked because I was assuming that I wasn't 'getting it' and thought I was missing out on an inside joke requiring background info.

Yaodongs in Shanxi, Henan and Gansu in China:

Quote
In the provinces of Shanxi, Henan and Gansu in China, you will find collections of yaodongs – underground cave dwellings that are dug out from the soft and malleable Loess Plateau soil. Up until the early 2000’s an estimated 40 million people still lived in sunken courtyard houses which sit seven meters below-ground
