And as mentioned, SA isn't exactly meme central.  Maybe BYOB or FYAD but again, I enjoy having a little bit of surviving sanity and avoid those subforums.)

Which is probably the biggest problem with memes and catchphrases in the long run.  They end up being EAT MY SHORTS, DON'T HAVE A COW MAN, or HOMIE DON'T PLAY DAT, and in a few months all the spouters feel embarrassed and sad.

I can practically taste the smugness coming off of this post.  The parts of SA that you read might not have pictures of LOLcats all over the place but memes aren't just pictures with captions.  Take a closer look at the way people type there.

The only way that's not funny is if you don't know who Xhibit is. In which case, you're missing out, because those are fucking funny.

Xhibit?

Don't get it.

EDIT

Yo means Xzibit, bitch.

Oh - I see.

Still don't get it.

The Xzibit meme things are funny for about 2 seconds. Once you've seen one, there really isn't much point is seeing any others.

That Frosty the Snowman bit, though? That's pure gold.

I know the guy. I saw a couple of his videos.  I haven't read him.  Does he have a theory were people invent religions to laugh about other religions?

He invented the word 'meme' to convey the concept of a unit of human culture in his 1976 book 'The Selfish Gene'.

Edit: shit, did I use "pantheon" twice today?

Some guy on the radio apparently bought a ShamWow when he was drunk one night.  He describes it as effective as trying to soak up water with a plastic bag.

Also, sex is very low on the chart of awesome. Does it have less importance for dorks or does it have a higher molecular weight?

Also, bacon is not in the same class as dudes. Doy.

I can't see the chart here at work, but I'm guessing Higher molecular weight as more bodies are involved.

Some guy on the radio apparently bought a ShamWow when he was drunk one night.  He describes it as effective as trying to soak up water with a plastic bag.

It's just a really expensive chamois cloth.  I've used 'em in swimming and for polishing up the car after a wash, but I figured that'd be exactly how well it would soak up liquids in general and always got a laugh out of him just laying it down on that carpet piece.
