Seems pointless since you can buy the iPhone 6s in China directly.
This seemed so odd to me that I had to look it up. Apparently there is actually a shortage of iPhones in mainland China, due to "import" quotas (apparently those factories are in free trade zones and have to go through customs) as well as some pretty heavy tariffs (iPhone 6 costs the equivalent of $1000). So there's a thriving trade in smuggling the phones back into the country. --Dave |
