Manzanita, Oregon taken last week on vacation.

You were in Oregon for a vacation and didn't look up VL or me?  Tsk, tsk.  The girlfriend and I were at Crater Lake last weekend, would have loved to have a few extra peeps along.

I didn't know you were here, too, Mort. I know Stephen Zepp's in Eugene, but where you at?

Eugene as well.  The company has sent me to Slovakia each time there's been an F13 get together or the possiblity of us Oregon types getting together.  Total kick ass or something.  I just got back actually.

I was in Arizona for 5 days in 2006 (?) and it rained at least twice. I felt right at home!

It is actually really pretty right after it rains, since everything turns green/blooms briefly before being charred into ash by the unrelenting sun.

A picture someone took of me at work. This does not match the picture inside my brain of what I look like.

I picked up a 25th Anniversary set for dirt cheap at the Baltimore Games Day and 2 1/2 months later, I'm all but done with painting (just need to decide what to do for the bases and a bit of clearcoat)

Did you pass up sex in the time it took you to paint those?

I also have a 2 month old newborn.    My wife wasn't exactly receptive to the idea of sex.     DRILLING AND WOMANLINESS

But no, the only time I've turned my wife down for sex is when I've gotten 4 hours of sleep the night before, worked 18 hours and have crawled into bed to sleep and somehow she thinks me beginning to snore is a secret desire to copulate.

Nice job! I always like when someone actually knows how to paint minis. It's apparently a rare talent.

Just click it and go to the original size.  It's sorta too huge to inflict on the unwilling.

Needs more Clan Skryre stuff. A Screaming Bell in the middle of all those clanrats would be nice too.

I like Pestilens!  Anyhow, this was just a self contained project of everything that came in the 25th Anniversary set.  I picked it up super cheap at the Baltimore Games Day as a way to get into the army, so it's by no means supposed to be playable just yet.

Was that one of the Army box sets?  My first/main army back in the day was the Undead box set.

the 25th anniversary sets were weird and less playable than the old army box deals.  for the most part they are now doing smaller battalion box sets.

I stopped playing before they started doing army boxes. Far too easy to spend way too much money on little metal Skaven. And every rules iteration made half my things obsolete, only to come back in the next iteration.

I'm just waiting for official 40K Skaven to come out. I've already got a Screaming Bell mounted on a Rhino, and a Doomwheel with twin heavy bolters.

I gave up on Fantasy battle the day I figured out that they'd started pricing minis based on the point value it was worth in your army rather than the actual size of the figure.

Walking this morning:

Came across this classic at the Star Market in Brookline.  My girlfriend insisted on dogging the poor spelling and grammar in the Lime add and I'm all like, "Are you crazy?  It's LEMONS!  They're perfect for orange juice!!!!" I still don't think she sees anything wrong with that:

A really cool pool inside a big reef out in the Red Sea.

Saw some really crowded boats around a few of the wrecks (this one was when diving the Thistlegorm, WWII British cargo vessel full of jeeps, bikes and trucks).

I took a few other pictures that I'll share later, but I think this one's my favorite because of the way the water is rippling.  Reflection mapping FTW.   DRILLING AND MANLINESS

Mt. Shasta.  Note the complete absence of snow on top, which is apparently unusual.
