All nice shots but I really like the 2nd one particularly--that's good work with an open aperture with a hilariously apt difference in expressions to underscore it.

Heh, I thought the 2nd was the least of the bunch, and I liked the first and third. The colour seems a bit overcooked in the second, whereas the other two look more relaxed and natural. Some of this is probably just personal preference though.

It's a good sign when it's not unanimous that just one is disliked imo. For reference - I *just* went full manual for my settings and am taking the time to set up my shots and environment - which is hard to do with the boys running around and the various light/dark areas of the house. I took about 300 shots the other day outside and they ALL turned out blue-ish because I couldn't see the screen well enough in the sunlight. I think I have been able to fix most of them in Lightroom, but I'm also a complete nooblier with that as well. Thanks the input guys.

I knew Baltimore had a reputation for being rough, but do your sporting heroes really need to parade through the streets in military vehicles?
Over here we just use novelty open-topped buses, which give the players plenty of opportunity to drop the trophy over the side and under the wheels.

Naw - there were a lot of times the players were running through the streets and letting people touch the trophy. The Ravens and MD National Guard have had a bit of a standing relationship (partnership/sponsors), so it was as much marketing as anything.

My dad bought a moose sculpture and put it in the backyard in Colorado. In the snow.

Thanks guys, it's the first photo that I'm actually proud of and am debating getting a canvas print of it for my parents.

Hey, looks fun!
It is, but I was a little nervous since it took me 16 months to restore the entire car. I just finished rebuilding the engine 2 weeks ago, and I only had 200 miles on it. Held up great though!

OMG, that's from my childhood. What was that thing?? A TV show, I think, but the memory is super fuzzy.

I should get back to nature, too. You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer. Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached. Buy a car with only two cup holders or something. -Signe

It looks like a Pokemon sort of? I was shooting some abandoned houses today--"urban exploration" as they say--way out in the woods beyond suburbia. When I got home and downloaded the shots from the camera, there's a series of images where I'm shooting into a doorframe, there's a chair beyond in the relative darkness of the house. It was very overcast today so no bright reflections, no light behind me. So just one of three shots in of the exact same door (slightly different aperture and shutter speed because I was chimping my way around the settings for the shoot) there's a really eerie white blob above the chair. I didn't see it while I was there, and I totally have no way to explain what it is. It's not in any other shot, there's zero possibility of a lens flare, there's no other reflection, there's no white object in the room. I really don't believe in any of the usual paranormal shit but my flesh crawled a bit when I saw the photo. I wish I could say I had the chills or whatever while I was there but I didn't except for worrying that there was some dude cooking meth in one of the houses. (One of them was totally broken down, all the windows busted, doors off the hinge...except for a quite new satellite dish on it...) DSC_0433.jpg by swarthmoreburke, on Flickr

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CalimeroYes, it was an Italian kids show about the chicklet Calimero :) The egg is an actual egg, hollowed out and painted. From the 15th international easter egg exhibition. (Yes, that's thing)

DSC_0433.jpg by swarthmoreburke, on Flickr Looks exactly like lens flare to me. See the double image of the white blob and the way it looks like an out of focus heptagon? You say there's zero possibility of lens flare, why? I see bright sunlight in that photo, all it takes is a tiny reflection sending a very, very small amount of light into your lens at the wrong angle and bingo, lens flare. Ofc it could be a ghost, but only if you're a retard who believes in magic bullshit.

Looks like dust to me. See those kinds of 'blobs' on construction site photos all the time. It doesn't get on the lens just reflecting light at the right moment.

Wasn't shooting into the sun, and the sun was actually mostly behind clouds--it's as bright there because I've lightened the image in Lightroom to get a better look into the room. Shot four shots in quick succession and got no flare on three of them. Also lens flare is usually not pure white like that. And it generally has a pretty predictable relationship to a source of strong light at the edge of a frame--it's not really where I'd expect the flare to be. But yeah, it's probably just an odd aberrant flare.
Don't think it could be dust either sort of for the same reasons--can't think why it would show on only one of four shots.
I don't believe in anything paranormal. Just was a weird aberration. But a creepy one.
