Having a subway commute once again gives me a nice little chunk of reading time each day, so I've finished the first "3 Body Problem" book and have the next two waiting on my shelf.  I liked the series, but I liked the book more.  Nothing really radically different in terms of the overall story but the book just has that much more time to flesh out its characters and concepts.  Would recommend.

Sometimes they get tossed in Discord, but I'll take it if you've still got it.

I think we're going to do a rewatch of "The Raven" this weekend.

Have we got a place for sharing legitimately acquired keys? I've got a spare key for Yakuza: Like A Dragon from Humble Choice that I can PM to anyone who's basically not a bot.

Yeah I read / watched some reviews and it's now a wait for decent discount purchase for me.

Trying not to be incredibly disappointed by Homeworld 3. I played the beta of the OG in 1999 and loved the series... until now.

I'm a few days late on this, but Roger Corman died recently at 98 years old.  Saw him recently on an episode of "The Last Drive-In" and thought "goddamn, I hope I'm doing that well at his age"; he clearly had a great run, and left quite a legacy.

Did a 2nd playthrough of Baldur's Gate 3 and was surprised at how much I missed the first time. That's partly because I decided to stealth into some places and attack with surprise, so I didn't realize how many scenes of dialogue (and chances to talk your way through a situation) there were. Also I did a few things out of order and while the game allows that, there are consequences--most notably I did the Temple of Shar first and then Moonrise Tower 2nd the first time, so I missed a bunch of interactions and the chance to save the NPCs in the prison. Plus I just missed some places--I didn't really understand how to jump, I didn't see a couple of things, and I didn't find Minsc.

(Maybe I'm just too old now, but Minsc went from being amusing back in BG1 and 2 to being really annoying here.)

I did Durge this time and that was interesting except that I apparently didn't do it 'right' so I got an icky epilogue.

Not really sure what to play next. I wish I liked Crusader Kings III better than I do.

Picked up Planet Crafter after seeing it featured on PA.  Nice relaxing minecraft-esque explorer/builder, with the hook being that as you progress through your tech tree and expand your base you're terraforming the entire planet.  Gameplay-wise it's nothing we haven't all seen a few times before, but I think they did a good job of making a world that's fun to explore and giving the player the feeling that they're making a major impact on it.
