One of the big four new things is the paid PvP tournaments, because that has all sorts of things to do with cashflow Halloween?

Not that I blame them. Just interesting.

Looking forward to this.  Hopefully they'll make it easy to find the seasonal events.

I actually love the jump puzzles, so a new big one will be excellent imo.

Have you tried the internet? It's made out of millions of people missing the point of everything and then getting angry about it

In GW1 they were very good about advertising the seasonal events and they were pretty inventive about the things they did.

God I hope not. Unless they raise the ceiling height significantly. I don't know how much of that clocktower puzzle is inside of course.

Was there something wrong with the Lion's Arch puzzle? The one in the cave with the pirate ghost, right? The ghost bugged on me a little but I found my way through the maze easy enough.

I had no trouble with it as a giant Norn myself, but I imagine the complaint is camera stuff.

Might be thinking of the one in the ogre cave that leads to a small chest. That one's in a tight cave.

Oh, no, the other one that you need to drop into bucket to start. There were two points where Asurans were probably fine, but Humans and Charr kept hitting their head, and Norn, man, no idea how they got that done. Woulda been less suck if you didn't lose so much progress.

I'm just glad the jump puzzles aren't part of 100%-ing the map. There are a couple i've tried which my sanity would not survive another go at.

There's one in one of the lower level Charr zones as well.

I think I've only stumbled across maybe three of them. Probably not the bucket one (I play a tall human).

Required? I completed the level 1-15 zone without doing one, but maybe it's in the 15+ whatever-equivalent-to-Kessex-Hills?

I've got what feels like an insane amount of time invested in this game so far, easily double any other video game in general since WoW six years ago. But even though I hit 80 a few nights ago predominantly by 100%ing lower level zones such that I haven't fought a mob above level 70 yet, I still have only 51% of world completion.

And this damned new content will probably set me back 4%!

But whose counting?  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

Two 80s, a 50, assorted alts, 75% completion on my top character and there are still four or five zones I haven't touched.

I expect costumes.  Think they'll be town clothes or actual armor?

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!

Yes, required. It's in Diessa Plateau. It's not bad. I can even do the jumping puzzles on Charr characters as well. I can do the borderlands puzzles first shot!

There's at least one required-for-100% jumping puzzle in Orr as well.

e: none of the required jumping puzzles are hard, btw - some can be a bit long, but they're nothing like the one in that cave with the beams, f'rex (fuck those beams, man)

I tend to think more along the lines of "tedious" than "hard" (which I reserve for the how-the-hell-do-I-do-that moments which are rare). Horizontal beams like Fawcett's Bounty are annoying, especially when you need to refight the mobs again and again. But when other people show up it's not so bad.

The ones I've skipped have been either due to being too low a level to fight the veterans in the middle like Swashbucker's Cove or Demongrub Pits, or because they're way too goddamned annoying for the bullshit non-rewards you get at the end (Chaos Crystal Caverns in Blazeridge).

I've got my list once they've itemized or whatever they need to do give me worthwhile rewards.

Ah thanks good to know. Thinking back I'm now trying to remember if there was a discovery point at the bottom of Urmaug's Secret in Lion's Arch, making that required for 100% as well.

No, there isn't.  The toughest explorable in Lion's Arch is finding the path to the Vista overlooking the main market.

Oh, I found that one easy. It was the POI that you access through the broken sewer grate that got me.

Sounds like if you don't mind spending gems, you can get some cool costumes and minipets.  Also six new weapon skins from Black Lion chests.  Nice!

I've never done a GW event, really interested in seeing how it goes.  Especially the new events.

Black lion chests jumped in prize from 3copper to 25copper within the past couple days, i assume it's because of the new weapon skins.

He had like 2,000 gold before he had his first 80.

It's pretty sick how much he plays the market.  And how successful he is.
