Just saying that on top of consistently appearing on a large number of "Top Games of all times" chartes, which we all agree are worth nothing, it comes up over and over as one of the favourite games of countless designers in all sorts of interviews.

With that said, anyone with a brain can try it and understand why it was and still is amazing, and thousands people still play it 32 years later.

With that said, I must suspend my previous endorsement to the aforementioned and linked M.U.L.E. Returns as I confused it with Planet M.U.L.E. So Jury is still out on this remake. Planet M.U.L.E. on the other hand is quite perfect.

Remember MechWarrior Tactics and the way it just kinda died? Well, it looks like there'll be a new turn-based tactical BattleTech game by the creators of Shadowrun Returns / Dragonfall (lead by some random dude called Jordan Weisman), with a kickstarter launching in Sept. Website here.

Well, at least these fuckers have shown they can put out a good product with crowdfunded money. Shadowrun Returns was fucking awesome. I have more faith in them than anyone else who's gone this route.

Hey to be honest I paid 40 bucks (and btw that's how big my blind spot is, exactly 40 dollars) for MechWarrior Online and I got way more than 40 dollars worth of entertainment out of it plus all the benefits of being a founder. The Star Citizen clusterfuck is obviously the big sucking chest wound example of why not to fund early access shit but if a legitimate company with a decent track record (I too like Shadowrun) is making a game that you really could love then I'd say kickstart them a REASONABLE amount of dosh.
