Same team, they just aren't a bunch of pseudo intellectual assholes trying to be smarter then they are about game design, spending 6 months 'collecting data' about a 4% damage increase or whatever the fuck other dev teams pretend to do.

'Does this work, no, fuck it try something different.'

If a quick and dirty change can improve the game for the players and make it better till they can implement a more elegant one, they'll do the quick and dirty one to tide things over. They'll make a change, present their logic for it and then honestly take feedback for it, then iterate on it again. It's the only non-indie game I've seen where reasonable forum feedback was implemented into the game at a timely fashion.

There biggest issue currently is just the scale of it all now. There are like 50 different characters to try and keep up to date with current mechanics and power levels. Even at the crazy rate they work, they have a hard time keeping up.

Like this being in the game because some guildies made a post about it after seeing this.

A few months after the game launched they had a player 'Design a Unique' contest.  Amongst the player created uniques that are now in the game are Tippy Toe's Itty Bitty Bow, Dragonfang, and Red Murasama Blade and I think a few more.

Over and out.

Doom is so self-serious, I love his dialog.

Serious question - I am legitimately loving this game. When I played it in beta, I hated it. Did they like, hire someone and make the game good? How long ago did that happen?
Took them till around the beginning of 2014 to turn the game around, I believe. I started playing in April 2014 after I heard the game had become fun at that point.

I haven't played for a while. If you had to uncap one hero that's a combination of expensive, fun, and OP as hell, which one would you pick?

Psylocke is a really solid option as well. I dunno if she's OP, but she's really good for not a lot of effort.

Or Maybe just get Rogue and build your own!

If by expensive you mean the 600 splinter heroes then the only ones that fit all three of those are Ghost Rider and Doom, and Doom is not part of the offer.

PSA: ICPatrol Shared Quest is borked today. The 'save 30 civillians from muggings' requirement is undoable; the specific encounters are not spawning.

Also, those new mob affixes. Bloody hell, Cosmic Terms got a lot more dangerous, especially now Team Ups are effectively reduced to bare minimum stats and affixes till you level them. I could utterly ruin Cosmic Doc Ock with Squirrel Girl, but a single yellow Maggia elite with a Frenzy affix nearly put her in the ground before he went down. Scary.

Doom cracks me up - "The only thing worse than a radiated imbecile is a monosyllabic radiated imbecile!"

Thank god he starts to get more fun to play in the 40s, was a bit spare early on, as far as powers go (I hate pet classes, so I only tried Tech and Sorcery).

I haven't noticed any real change in cosmic terminals. SG has a bug with her heal on hit though, I'm not sure if that was fixed in this patch or not. It's not healing as much as it should be.

I propose a truce, like we at had Camelot... unless your gin-addled brain doesn't remember that  (i'm fucking up the quote, but that's close) - I wasn't sure who he was talking to here, assumed Ironman (although the Camelot reference made no sense).

Iceman is my favorite, I use magic for a team up. I have Magik to 58 and I have been keeping her out for cosmic terminals, I can roll through any cosmic terminal plus boss in less than two minutes now and that includes clearing enough mobs for the chest bonus.

Yeah my 42 clea had zero problems staying alive through a red muspleheim raid.  The only time i can see there being a problem is if you die too much because they get unsummoned.

Ok, someone PLEASE help me out.

I've now tried ALL the Fantastic Friends and, frankly, they're all shite.

Sue and Reed have this annoying 'Nope, not gonna proc' bug, or you can get stunned into them.  Yancy Street Gang do pretty much fuck all.  Johnny is the only one that's worth a damn, but even he just blasts and area and that's it.

Yet, other powers rely on me using this shite.  What's the feeling here ?  I know someone up thread said Reed was 'OP AND A KILLER!!!' but I'm not seeing that.  At all.  Especially when it hardly works some of the time...

Reed was stupidly OP on test centre when he did 10 times as much damage or something.

My feeling on Thing so far is that he is no longer broken, but not all that interesting.

Yeah that Reed power was doing 3 MILLION 2x per second on TC; now it's worthless. Someone on the forums says to roll with Johnny for Accuracy buff, and Suzie for dmg negation when u need it. Also take a lot of health regen omegas and artis with invul procs.  I don't know if I should keep Liz or go Jug medallion

Actually, I find him fun and quite bashy, but having a full tree that serves little to no purpose is bothering me.

Some heroes are just extremely hard to build three different power trees around, that's how you end up with stuff like Cyclops and Hawkeye's kung fu stuff.

Summon Doom is ridiculous. DOOM IS VICTORIOUS.

+373.9% Ally Damage since I "only" have 1250 Omegas, and he has 4200 damage rating.  I walk through cosmics like they were story missions and even Cosmic MM isn't that hard unless I get swarmed.

So I decided to give raids a shot, what with Doom being as crazy overpowered as he is.

I didn't think it was possible to have a worse experience than WoW's LFR system. Wow, was I wrong. Whoever thought 'let them zerg and then have it reset when they run out of zerg spawns' was a good solution was wrooong.  Also: Give some hint - any hint at all - as to how the mechanics are supposed to work.  The little flashing icon on the buff bar nobody keeps open isn't going to let people know not to stand in the Sentinel Aura too long.

Oy.

I think people just assume you know the fights, they are very simplistic once you know the mechanics.  For green raids you can mostly ignore everything and beat up the boss anyways.

Oh I figured it out, but it was the rest of the raid that just kept dying over and over. I think I kept getting thrown in with people who were in blue/ green gear, too. The sentinels never went below 99% in the 3 groups I got in with and gave 5 resets each to.

I played a LOT yesterday.

Sentinels... err, you went into the top end hardcore raid.  I've never killed those guys either actually.  You want green muspelheim, a buncha pubs with blue green gear can get through that.  Do you guys have a guild? i can get you in the goon guild if you want, they are crazy people but the nice and helpful kind of crazy.

Huh. It was the only raid whose queue popped. Musphelheim just sits there for the entire time I'm on and never queues me.  Well that explains that then!

No guild. I play this an hour or two at a time. Doom had me excited so I binge played to 60 then geared him the fuck out.

I think people put together raids in LFG rather than just randomly queueing, and never for that raid.  Those other people with you had to have absolutely no idea what was going on either. If you want a guild send Tremain (me) a message.

Rogue is not really a good first starter type hero. She is so weird and can get so many abilities she is really kind of annoying to get equipped with all the stuff you want on her the first go round.

I didn't even think the queue worked properly lol. My experience was that you sit in queue forever, so I never use it. Of course I'm in a guild and I use lfg if necessary, etc.
