Yeah. If only your pet vacuum would sell items it's already maxed out at the normal vendor prices instead of 1 credit.

What do people spend credits on? Occasionally I get a new 60 and decide to blow most of it leveling a couple of uniques to 60, but outside of that I don't use large chunks of credits ever really.

I think he means using the crafter to upgrade lower level uniques to 60.  I find that generally it's not worth it for the hero-specific uniques, but it can be very well worth it if you get one of the rare any-hero uniques to drop at a lower level.

Over and out.

You can level uniques, unbind items, and reset the variables on uniques and artifacts. I think I've gone through at least 6 million credits in the past week or so. Not that I play a lot, mind you.  awesome, for real

Leveling uniques is a bit of a waste, unless they are rare boss drops.  Hero specific stuff drops like candy, and non boss drop any heroes are almost all crap.  Where most of my money goes is rerolling rare artifacts and trying to get good crit damage rolls on costumes.

Sometimes you also get a great roll on a low level unique or a really rare hero specific so you need to level it.  Took me forever and a day to get Tippy Toes bow for my Squirrel Girl. You bet your ass I leveled it from the 57 drop it was up to 60.  Same with the awesome hammer I got for jugs. It had better stats at 30 than some of the level 45s I was getting.

In my experience, uniques pre 60 are usually better than the ones you get at 60. Lately though instead of buying the space or leveling uniques I've gone with not giving a crap. seems to be working better.  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

The real money sink for catasses is in rerolling high-value artifacts, since those have trade value. Buy a low-rolled GoK for "cheap", reroll it until it has good stats, sell it for 2 low GoKs, rinse, repeat. Then trade all your GoKs for something you actually want.

yeah I'm thinking of doing that. I got what I consider a great trade the other day (1 near max HPP for 2 low HPP + HoD + Gok), but I was told I got less than it was worth.

I should have held on to my surtur runes though. Last week someone wanted to buy 2 for 1 Gok. This week someone wanted to buy 1 for 2 GoKs lol.

Surtur runes are not worth 2 goks, that was probably snatched instantly. 2 for 1 gok is still a bit overpriced.  As far as your trade goes it depends on how "near max" your HPP was.

Yeah, cheers to all that. I'll continue scrapping my "not level 60" artifacts to make space. Crap.

That's what multiple accounts (and dual-boxing) are for. Even with that, though, you eventually you'll fill up all of your inventory with non-tradeable items. And then you are screwed.

On the topic of max rolls, they are adding in the ranges to the tooltip display in one of the upcoming patches if not the next one. The test server has a version of it up at the moment.

No, I need the above tooltip to tell me if certain Artifacts I'm saving for guys not yet at 60 are worth keeping. I've got some Kung Fu sequences that might be good. They're better than others, so may as well hold on to them.  Ditto some of the uniques I've got. Are they good or are they shit? Dunno until I get that melee hero to 60 and find out how they compare to other drops.   awesome, for real

All you do is check to see if the artifact is rare or not. There's only like a handful that are rare and annoying to get, everything else you'll get another half dozen without even blinking. If you aren't using it like right now, vendor it or throw it on the floor for the peasants to pick up at a hub.  why so serious?

Nah. That's more work than I care to bother with.  I don't even really look up specs until I hit cap, just throwing points willy-nilly at whatever looks fun. Storage is right there, waiting for the hoard.

Also if you're getting "another half dozen without even blinking" you're playing FAR more time than I am.  I got 4 artifacts over the entirety of last weekend and a whopping 10 omega points, including Coulson's daily.

Adv metasensory array and xerogen crystal are pretty much good on almost everyone.  Adv kung fu is a good cheap option for melee guys, yes.  The fourth one can be an adv crimson crystal of cytorak if it's a physical melee dude (almost all melee dudes are physical).  Zigurat of Kargul is another good on everyone (that doesn't have a teleport) arti.  AIM robot dispenser, good on physical or energy characters, or hybrids obviously, adv amulet of agamotto for mental heroes. Pym's shrinking serum and hand of nimrod are spirit management artis for melee/ranged respectively. Blinding brazier of balthak for burny heroes, latverian regalia (both adv and not) and raptor stones for pet heroes.  I think those are all the "common" drop arties that are worth keeping, everything else is trash.

Does this game have any form of sidekicking?

Xp rates are so variable I can't see how it is possible to do anything multiplayer before level 60 without it?

MMMSociety is offering Cable, his costumes & stash for 2.50$ (ea. separately). Sale starts today.
At work right now, so not sure if in game, or have to follow links yet... will find out later tonight.

...I've yet to see anyone sport the godawful Liefeld costume... but hey, it's in there for completionists.

Unfortunately no, and playing with other people can be a bit of a pain in the ass. The only option for people with a lot of synergy xp to level at about the same pace as new players is to turn off our synergy xp and hope they can keep up with each other.

The crappy support for grouping (in an MMO!) is one of the many quality-of-life issues that makes the game feel like it's at least a decade old, instead of brand new. Getting blocked from grouping, getting blocked from your party's content due to out-leveling it, not being able to see your party on the minimap, and traditional DIKU mechanics with a steep power curve are all annoying.

Me and my partner work around it by having heroes at a variety of levels, or by switching to our 60's to run cosmic terminals together before going back to leveling other heroes separately. It's still fun, but nowhere as fun as sidekicking/exemplaring was in CoH.
