What variety of trooper is that? I've never really kept up on all the different types.
Looks like an awesome costume though, despite the lack of thigh protection. :D

Yep, a Shoretrooper aka "Scarif Trooper" from the Imperial base in Rogue One. The "Lack of Thighs" is for increased mobility and, yes, it makes a HUGE difference. The hip plates provide enough and Shores are smarter than Storms.. they use Cover, so upper body is the only part routinely exposed. Thanks, all. Was a lot of work but loads of fun. Plan to enjoy this one a lot.

Story behind the pic: Watch Mexican Soccer Team Honor Frida the Rescue Dog in Emotional CeremonyMexico may have beaten Trinidad and Tobago in a World Cup qualifying match on Friday night but it’s clear that the star of the night was rescue dog Frida, who became famous across the country and around the world for her assistance in the earthquake relief efforts. Before the game, the Mexican team celebrated first responders in an emotional pre-match ceremony that included a moment of silence, the national anthem, and fists raised in solidarity.
Mexican players handed shirts to representatives of the rescue workers, Red Cross, and armed forces, but the crowd really went wild when Frida walked onto the pitch, wearing her now-signature protective goggles, boots, and vest. The crowd broke out into chanting, “olé, olé, olé, olé, Frida, Frida.” Doggie comes on at around 10:15 here. The whole ceremony is pretty moving. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_lYzwCkyI0

Some character studies of Neanderthals by Tom Björklund, an Finnish artists And here some "generic Ice age": European hunter-gatherers (in progress) Unfortunately we don't know much about Ice Age fashion. Cave paintings and other ancient artefacts can give us a few hints, but the direct evidence in the form of soft organic material is mostly long gone. So when I'm providing my Stone Age characters with clothing and a fancy hairstyle I can be sure that it's not correct––there has never been anyone wearing an outfit exactly like what I have made up. However, it would be more wrong not to. From evidence we know that they wore clothing and liked stylish hair designs. We can also conclude that they didn't dress up only to protect themselves from the elements, but also to express things like social status and group identity. I can imagine that originally the symbolic elements in clothing were more important than practicality
