If this movie had DC AND Marvel legos it would be truly awesome but I do not see that happening, also I doubt there will be any star wars or LOTR, which is a shame.

Such a shame they are limiting the IP's in the movie.  I mean it would be a logistical nightmare but I'd like to see a bit more than DC/LEGO

Are you talking about the main wizard guy who looks like Gandalf but isn't?

To be fair, I doubt it's "they" that is limiting them.

I completely agree, I'm sure LEGO would include all the big names if they could but regardless it's still unfortunate.

As someone who grew up on legos this movie was a must see but they really did throw a lot of talent at it.  Particularly the 'cloudy with a chance of meatballs' guys, they know how to make a fun movie kids and adults can enjoy.

In this household the 4 year old (who wants to blow off her own birthday party to go), the 13 year old and coughcough the 37 year old are all super excited for the movie.

There are only 40 reviews, and only one negative review. There will be more negative reviews. I imagine it'll settle somewhere around 85-90.

That would be historically good for a movie released in February

Come on. Lego Batman is the boyfriend of the Lego Elizabeth Banks and is written to be a gigantic douchebag. Also, Gandalf is supposed to be in it aw well as a bunch of Star Wars Legos. My kids and I can't stop singing Everything is Awesome in horrible falsetto. You know this is a great movie.

It isn't Gandalf, it's Morgan Freeman playing some new made up guy IIRC.

That is great news. As the father of a LEGO-crazed 5 year old, there was no chance I would get out of seeing this. Glad it is watchable!

They were thoughts that Gandalf was in there in addition to the Morgan Freeman role. But, I'm guessing it's likely just a rumor eating it's own tail.

So. Uh. it's up to 104 reviews with 3 negative reviews. Stunned. Can't wait to see it now.

Just got back from watching this and even though I had high expectations I was not disappointed.  I was not expecting it to go where it did andthe whole movie took on a gravitas that all kids movies could learn from.

So I really wanted to take the kids to see this, but basically all the theaters around here are only showing the dubbed Danish version.  I know why they do this, but it still pisses me off.  Some movies just don't do well when dubbed, no matter what local talent they get to do the job.  Guess I have to wait for BluRay.
