Wasp, Firestar, Falcon, Spider-Woman, Domino, and Gamora. There's a 6-pack of existing art characters with known power sets and effects assets to get started with.

Hell, I'm amazed they'd do Black Bolt before Firestar, Gamora or Wasp who are better-known characters to non-comics people nowadays.

I'm debating not buying the AP, just because I'm not interested in playing the characters. Goblin could be Doom/ Witch tier and I'd avoid him. I dislike psycho-evil characters (still haven't capped Venom and never use my Carnage Team-up)

As well as the villain thing, they don't seem to like choosing female heros, (though they are a little more keen on female teamups).

I've always used Steam, they added steam achievements to match the in game ones. So my first log in after the patch was like a full minute of steam notifications on all the heroes I hit 60 with.

He is very strong.  I was able to easily solo cosmic Doom and even did Bovenheim solo.  I don't know if he's broken now but it doesn't seem he uses any resources.  I have no idea what the purpose of his "awesome" is.

He doesn't use resources. Awesome factors into Body Slide by One. Every point of awesome is 1 point of just about every stat.

So they wiped-out all the old crafting mats and didn't compensate for them at all. That's less than amusing, since I now have to farm them for Cat's cores and costume affixes.

ed: Ok and now that I've gone to the crafter i see they changed it so you only need one of any type. I was worried they'd changed it to scale ( 1 at I, 5 at II, etc) This is far better.

Also, it finally pulls shit from your inventory instead of having to drag & drop. About damn time.

Yeah once I went to the crafter it became clear they credited, but it was only partial credit, maybe just for stacks of Pure.

I had two full tabs of materials that are now empty, ranging from several stacks of Pure for every type down to essentials. I was awarded 40 Genomes and that's the biggest stack I have. Only 16 Ionics and 24 astrals.

Mats still drop fairly regularly so it's less of a big deal than I thought. I'd originally gone to my bank to pick up mats and my reaction was, "well shit, they're gone. Fucking lovely."

All they did was take whatever you had, and combine it to the highest tier of material and if you had extra, they just rounded up and gave you a bonus one.

The fact you had full pages of them and they only turned into a few dozen top end materials basically highlights why they changed it to begin with.

Maybe the lack of interesting shit is becasue of their behind the scenes deals with marvel, and marvel are being dicks about it. (Marvel being dicks pointless speculation)

The crafting change just isn't very well explained - what they have done is effectively given everyone an extra stash tab.

Did they back load all of the interesting in Black Cat, because she's fairly boring and spirit starved up to 20.

She is boring as fuck. Here's a run down on this newly rushed hero, the first in their "quality over quantity" or "measure twice cut once" philosophy.

-She's is one of the worst heroes to level due to her slow movement, some of the worst AoE in the game, and spirit issues until level 42 when you open up Master Thief. She's not shitty at end game, but far from being great. It took over an hour to hit 60 vs 35-40min on Deadpool or any hero with either a teleport or solid AoE.

-Traps tree isn't that great. They're basically your standard grenades with "trap" in their name. Except the Taser Trap which is currently in really bad shape. You need to lay down multiple traps and they link together dealing damage to those caught in their path/field. However, mobs destroy the taser traps and those end up being worthless. If mobs didn't destroy these (and they increased their duration more) they could be fun. Until then they're another power not worth considering.

-Her uniques are all sorts of fucked up if you're trying to go Claws or Traps. They grant +31 to Whips, but only +19 to claws/traps. So you're left only using 2 of her own uniques in pretty much any build, those are her slot 3 and 5 and letting Any Hero uniques, with their +3 to all, do a better job of gearing her for any build while also opening up non-whip builds. I'm fine with boss/Any Hero uniques be BiS, but at least have uniques that can allow someone to mostly gear for any of their available specs.

-Her execute is skipped entirely due to low base damage, and also Gaz trying to force a shitty mechanic. You need to stealth/invis before being able to use it, but her stealth/invis is on a 30s cooldown (Master Thief) or rolls you out of melee range (Quick Getaway) while doing no damage or providing any buff. The other ability which require stealth first isn't too bad since it is an 8s duration bleed (which will come out to be about 9-10s after power duration is counted) so you don't need to do that shitty roll every 4s like her execute. Just every 8-10s.

-Her Master Thief power steals vendor junk from mobs. So you end up with items in your inventory, taking up space, that sell for 100 to 10k. When you're sitting on stacks of credit chests, this is more of an annoyance than anything.

Positives:
-Nine Lives mechanic makes actually is pretty damn good, even though it does have some bugs (what doesn't in this game lately?). It makes her somewhat tanky, even though she does have lower HP than most heroes since her uniques were balanced with this in mind.
-Apparently people are drooling over her ass. I wish I was joking.

I used to keep just Pures around but then as I leveled more heroes and wanted to keep re-rolling Affixes to get proper/ better rolls it just because a HUGE pain in the ass. It was easier in the long run to keep stacks of all of them, even though I only picked-up Pures.

I stuck an Oscorp generator on Deadpool. +480 Awesome, so +480 to +300, (I thought that number looked high) all those stats from one item. It's amusing, but I'm not sure its optimal.


Anyone else having a lot of crash to desktop problems? I think I'm going to have to do a complete wipe and reinstall AGAIN if it's just me and not this buggy-ass patch.
