I don't like the new Hulk.

But I didn't like the old Hulk, so, er....

He has hardly any abilities and they all seem....boring ?

I just do generic enchants. I have yet to see a Tyr, Saturn or Hel (I think) rune to do the "uber" enchants and I've been playing about 9 months.

Unless you plan on being the upper end of the loonies boasting about your "TTK on Kurse" then just fuck it. The basics are enough for your everyday fun and you won't obsess over "wasting" an uber-rare rune on a Non-Perfect-BIS piece of gear.

More for me!  awesome, for real

He actually has one too many abilities. But I like him because he's fairly simple to play which is because he's boring probably. Low stress gaming is where it's at.

I took Hulk to 25 this morning just so I had another Synergy option... I have no idea what the design brief was for him but he seems utterly broken. I shouldn't be able to stand still and hold one key and win. The 'ramp-up' mechanic is a joke, it takes about 2 seconds to hit max anger and then the default point in Tremor Fist destroys everything on-screen in endless massive green shockwaves. And nobody even seems to take Tremor Fist according to all the builds I've seen. I seriously doubt he'll stay this way.

He is pretty broken, he basically halved the time it took to kill the raid dummy from the previous highest dmg char (luke cage).

Tried Threash's Eternity Splinter farming trick & it works friggin wonders.
I'm not sure if MM helped boost ES quantity but coupled w/ the winter drink I was getting 2-7 ES per drop!

I'm not sure how you were getting so effecient to get 3-4 random hero boxes though. 700 ES in 3 hours?
Were you stacking boosts on top of the winter drink?

I'm done w/ randoms & so this trick easily helped w/ getting a new char.

Thanks Threash

2-7 per drop, ten seconds of potion used each drop, i'm no math genius but that should be a shit ton if you milk the entire potion that way.  Which will probably take like a week though.

The event caps out on multipliers tomorrow, right? Is it worthwhile to stack a bunch of consumables (that I mostly got for free / as story rewards) for it, even though I'm not 60 yet?

BTW, the fact that Rocket's slot4 ('combat pants') unique is YET ANOTHER gun is pretty DRILLING AND MANLINESS. Who needs pants when you can carry a seventh BFG instead?!

Yeah it is, specially exp boosts.  The server boost is to base exp, any boosts you take will be a multiplier not additive.  Whether it caps out tomorrow or thursday depends entirely on when the patch is, it might even roll to the friday bonus for a few hours.

Last night was crazy town for omega leveling. I slapped on a 50% potion and two rush bars I had in the bank. I was getting 2 omega levels per cosmic boss. I think I cleared nearly 150 levels in about three hours last night. I imagine I could have done a whole lot more had I been aggressive in rerolling LQs and not bothering at all with the shared quests. Though the wave waves in Holosim were also crazy town.

So this week there is some sort of Bovenheim event that looks completely avoidable, though regular bosses will be getting a 'moar cows' affix and they'll spawn in waves in Industry City so you can't help but punch cows at some point. The daily log-in gifts will be portals to these magical cow kingdoms that nobody will use.

Also, there will be a free cow pet on saturday. Everyone loves free cow pets.

Oh, and just because you probably didn't spend any money on MH2015 this month, there's a week-long hero/costume BOGO deal on. Here's me thinking they'd save it 'til Valentines, heh.

I logged in to find two cowlevel portals in my inventory (a level 55ish and a level 60 version), and according to the login screen there are MAD PHAT LOOTS to be had in magical bovine land. Are those things soloable for a fresh level 60 Rocket with fairly crappy gear?

No, its a group thing.  Technically everything outside raids is soloable though since there isn't a death counter or penalty so if you really feel like it you can go in and die a bunch until all cows are dead.

This one's going to be tough. I'm really liking the easy mode that is Hulk and I really like that Mr. Fixit costume and the vanilla costume is pretty lame.

Pretty sure Mr. Fixit isn't enhanced (i.e. he's still "HULK SMASH") if that makes a difference.

I have Grey Hulk and Apoc Hulk. I wish there was an enhanced version of Mr. Fixit. :(

I don't really listen to anyone other than Squirrel Girl. I just like smashing things in a suit. It makes the whole endeavor feel more classy.  why so serious?

Only the gambling nature of getting the Cyclops noir costume is keeping me from that one as it is.

So apparently in order for Brevik to play as the cow king they had to make it a playable character...which they then forgot to remove from random hero boxes:

Just realized I have 700 splinters again.  Who should I pick up off this list:
Ms marvel
Hulk
Rocket raccoon
Luke cage
Ghost rider
Wolverine
Invisible girl
Cable
Any team up outside of firestar, wasp, domino, spidey, or magik.

It depends i guess, Hulk is op right now but i didn't think he was all that fun, Luke Cage's damage is incredibly good once you gear him out because of the combo point multiplier mechanic, Ghost Rider is awesome and one of the best characters currently.  If you want one of the top characters any of those three would do, Luke requires more effort though.  Wolverine and Cable have synergies i use on every single character, specially Cable and both are "decent".  I didn't like rocket all that much, invisi girl is really really bad right now and ms marvel is mediocre. I think between wasp domino magik and firestar you are pretty much set on team ups.

The only semi-duds on that list are Cable, Luke and maybe Invisible Woman. Cable is due for a review sometime in the near future. Luke isn't really bad, but he's really awkward until you get Cage Was Here and then it's just that over and over. I really enjoyed Invisible Woman because she was the first hero I played who didn't really have spirit problems as long as you used her spirit move on CD. I also think her effects are cool, but she's kind of weak.

Ghost Rider and Hulk got really strong reviews.

Rocket is good, but I played a whole lot of ranged gun type heroes in a row and he just kind of blended in. I don't like his turret farm build. It doesn't follow you around like squirrel girl.

I don't like Wolverine for story reasons, but he's strong.

I'd probably hold up on the team ups for a bit. They are due for a whole revamp.

Wolverine and Cable have synergies i use on every single character, specially Cable and both are "decent".
Synergies are a good call, completely forgot about that. Everyone does use Wolverine and Cable.

Cool, thanks guys.

I don't care so much about flavors of the month. Fun as they might be short-term, there's always nerfs and I don't do Raids in MH so TTK doesn't matter. For me it's all about dailies, play feel and that overall sense of "fun." It's a beat-em up, after all, and to me it's no fun if even bosses explode in 4.5 seconds.

I'd been looking at Cable and Wolv for synergies but debating GR/ MM based on hearing they were fun previously. Now to think about it.

Cool info on the TeamUps, though I don't think I want to level another series of 'pets'.  Ugh!

They had to change the teamups honestly, a lot of effort and development time is going into them and everyone sets them to "always away" for their far superior passive bonuses.

Oh I agree, yeah. They're fairly pointless other than "stat sticks" at this point.

That said I'd hope we get a system where the Teamup has a more permanent attachment to a hero and is at that Hero's level than, "Well I unlocked Spidey. Time to go grind out 60 levels on him."  Adding levels to Teamups makes it very easy to fall in to the trap of that 2nd scenario. It took Blizzard 7 or 8 years to figure out it was a bad idea with Hunters, I hope Gazillion doesn't need to go through the same process.

Nothing has changed on Ms. Marvel in months, it's less that she is bad and more that the power creep curve has accelerated past her. She still afk face tanks cosmic's/one-shots, and she still has a decent TTK, just not comparable to the heroes two-shotting bosses.  why so serious?
