That's not really true.

The Valve machanics are lame and designed to prey upon people in the same way that some microtransaction games are, but this issue of third party skin trading websites that traded those skins via offering betting markets on the outcome of pro and semi-pro games, completely unregulated, and then went further to allow straight up roulette gambling of skins on their dodgy as fuck websites? That's the illegal and morally bankrupt shit.

Not shutting any of that stuff down, which was in their power, years ago is where Valve really did the wrong thing.

So. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Activision pooped out bad ports of MUA 1/2. Creative Director at Marvel not happy. This should be an interesting litmus test of Marvel's resolve to put out quality games. Can they strong-arm Activision into unshitting these ports?

Well the Capcom Marvel Street Fighter-based games were fun. And the console Marvel ARPGs Raven did which included MUA 1 (but not 2) were decent.

MUA 2 was bad. 1 was decent. There were good X-Men games way way back (original XBox I think) and there was at least one good Spider-Man game.

I liked MUA 1, but my jam was those X-Men Legends games. Those were pretty awesome.

People seem to like the diablo one, and the current mobile one has better combat than Galaxy of Heroes imo (but is also stingier with rewards, GoH feeds the reward center better).

But yeah. That's why I'm hopeful Disney wants to be serious about Marvel games now. Not that Disney is known for quality gaming (Kingdom Hearts?).

Exec 2: Well, the ideal thing would be to do "Metal Gear, but better" and refine the issues that people complained about in previous games to show that we really understand the franchise and avoid alienating the few fans we have left.

Exec 1:  Yeah, I like that idea, but how about instead let's do the opposite and make the next game set in an alternate universe so we can make it a four player zombie survival shooter.  THERE IS NO WAY THIS CAN GO WRONG.

Really looking forward to Mafia 3. But I think I'm the only person who loved the first game and maybe the only who loved the second.

I like how the franchise sits on the spectrum of Mafia -- GTA -- Saint's Row. Each has their own merits and are awesome at what they do.

I know I've got to be the only person that likes how you have to obey street laws, stop at lights, etc. It doesn't bug me that you don't in GTA, but it does seem weird to blow past a cop car at 100mph through a red light and he doesn't blink an eye. And to obey the laws with the old 20s cars... awesome!

It's a WWI "Looking" game that plays like a WWII shooter.  Disappointed.

If you want a WWI shooter, I recommend Verdun.

This. I tried the closed alpha and that was the entirety of my response. It plays WAY too fast, with WAY too many automatic weapons to feel like WWI. It feels like a really lazy reskinning of the BF4 engine which it essentially is.

EVE Online's going F2P. You can still sub and play EVE like it's always been played. F2Pers can train/run T1 frigates, cruisers, and destroyers of their PC faction only.

That's exactly how I felt, but tried to downplay it so I didn't come off as too jaded.  BF1942 will always be my favorite shooter and I was hoping to get a slightly slower version of it in this game.  It just wasn't there.
