Ok, that was a pretty awesome plan by Hank.

More like Walt called Jesse a coward because Jesse never had the stomach for the business (despite starting out as a small time meth dealer/cook) and ultimately let his conscious ruin him, while Walt (despite starting out as a hs chem teacher/family man) soldiered on.

More like Walt was just lashing out because he wasn't used to someone beating him.  He could just as easily called Jesse a traitor, a narc, a fool, or a loser.  In other words, it was more about how Walt was feeling than about how he was feeling about Jesse.

I think it's Marie that does the graffiti in Walt's house. Just a guess.

I'm pretty sure there were Federal papers posted on the perimeter of the house though, suggesting that the feds knew about him.

Would have been purple rather than yellow if it was her.

Nope. The postings said City of and were not federal. I had the same thought when I saw them and had to rewind to verify.

Those postings could easily be foreclosure notices or some kind of health hazard... like ricin.

I felt almost sick to my stomach watching Walt's entire world fall apart.

I mean, I'm past really pulling for Walt anymore, but man, that was tough.

I admit it - I'm pulling for Walt.  I'm pulling for him to realize his mistakes and do whatever he can to make things better.  I think that is where we're headed.  I think the flash forwards are his trip back to

It's been a slow spiral into hell for Walt throughout the series, and I think it will just continually degrade through the last 2 episodes.  I don't think magical redemption happy ending is what they're planning, as much as people might hope for it.  I really don't think it's in the cards.  This past episode was probably the furthest from "human" and closest to truly being a monster that we have seen.  I think it's going to continue that path.

Then what did you think of Walt's call to Skylar and the leaving of the 'package' at the Fire Department.  That was clearly a reversal of the path from the earlier 'Found Him' moment.

Walt isn't a complete monster IMO, mostly because he's still capable of at least brief flashes of humanity which is something you didn't really see at all from the other people who were deep in the drug trade.

If Gus didn't go and berate Tio because he hated him so much, I'd say that Gus is like the final form of Walt as Heisenberg. Ice cold, smart, completely rational to a fault. Walt isn't there yet IMO.

Hank I ironically stopped liking at all early on. He just wants to satisfy his ego and obsession as much as Walt does.

I am always a bit confused by the hate of any of the main 4 characters (Walt, Skyler, Jesse or Hank).  I have trouble judging them as I don't think any of them ever do anything that is unreasonable given their circumstances.  Yes, there are points at which I'd have made different decisions, but I always understood why they made the bad choices they did and I think most people would consider their path had they been smart enough to think of it.  Or weak enough not to give into it.

To me, this last episode was the final destruction of Walt as a sympathetic, human character. That speech to Skyler was perhaps planned to deflect blame from her, but the sheer explosion of anger was so visceral and so in character with Walt when he feels as if someone has taken credit or reward for something he did. None of that episode went the way I would have expected.
