I think it needed to be a Flash game instead of a movie. It's just not as fun to watch a beat-em-up as it is to play one.

I would totally play that on a console....with more levels and more moves/combos.

Yeah that was. I've been on a retro gaming kick lately, playing things like Streets of Rage 2, so that was very apropos. It even has that beat em up "slide show" style ending/credits. They cheated going the game though -- they were clearly playing in God mode :-D

We have those where I'm from. We call them "crazy subway people". Or, at UCB, "crazy Sproul Plaza people".

In Prince George's county we called them...
Nevermind. NOT. GOING. THERE.
Totally bad taste.
Sorry.

As a matter of fact I swallowed one of these about two hours ago and the explanation is that it is, in fact, my hand.

Safari, the standard OS X browser. It also happens to be the shittiest browser on Earth. So shitty that Apple started offering a Mac version of IE as an alternative, IIRC. You don't RC :) IE for the Mac had been around forever, until it was aborted by the MS Mac division years ago (5.1.2 or so was the last version for the mac). Safari is a decent enough browser, it's what I've been using for years. There's an open source version called Shiira that my supervisor likes, though he uses Firefox, mostly. Worst part of Safari is that it can't 100% turn off history tracking because of the snapback feature, so we can't use it on our public machines.

I just mostly remember my first experience using Mac OS X. I dragged some windows around, minimized them, and said "oo, pretty". Then I opened up Safari and tried to go check my email. Then it crashed. Then I went back to Windows. It's amazing how much that single experience shaped my opinion of Apple in general and Safari in particular.

The strangest figure skating set I've ever seen. Might not be totally safe for work. If someone doesn't make an avatar out of this I'm going to be disappointed.
Are you trying to encourage Signe?

Who are you trying to kid? Signe needs no encouragement. The mere possibility to grief us all with her own brand of "humor" is encouragement enough.

Lookwell - rejected pilot for a show about a has-been actor turned detective, played by Adam West. Shame this one didn't get picked up. The world needs more Adam West.
